Author Branding
Positioning comes before design, always
A beautiful author identity applied to a vague promise just makes the vagueness more expensive.

Design cannot decide what an author stands for. It can only express a decision already made. When the promise is unresolved, design turns into an endless search for a feeling nobody can name.
The useful version of positioning is short: the specific reader, the specific experience you deliver, and why you are worth their evening. Write it down. Test it on someone outside your circle. If they can repeat it back, you are ready to design.
This is also the cheapest stage to change your mind. Rewriting a sentence costs an afternoon. Rebuilding a site because the story changed costs far more.
