Book Launch

How to plan a book launch that outlasts week two

The best launches are mostly finished before release day, which is why they feel calm.

A launch is not a burst of posting. It is a sequence: preorder, release week, and the twelve weeks after, each with a job to do and assets prepared in advance.

Start with what you want to still have in three months. Usually that is a bigger reader list and a book that keeps finding readers, not a single day of attention. Plan backwards from there.

Write the emails and build the pages before the first announcement. Release week is for conversations with readers and press, not for production.

Then protect a weekly review. An hour with the people who can make decisions will do more for the launch than any extra advertising budget.

Ready when you are

Your next book deserves more than launch week.

Build the platform, audience and marketing system that can keep working after publication day.
